We don't own the benches. We choose them.
No single workshop is best at everything. The hands that stitch a wallet lining well are not the hands that cut a belt strap well.
So we don't force every product through one building. We place each category with a workshop that does that one thing properly, working the leather that suits it.
Some of those workshops ask an artisan for a decade at the bench before they're trusted to cut a hide. That's the standard we look for.
What travels between them is ours: the hide grade, the specification, and the standard a piece has to meet before we'll put our name on it.
Nothing carries our name until we've seen it.
Choosing good workshops is the start of the job, not the end of it. Every piece is made to a specification we write, from a hide grade we set, and checked against a standard we hold. The same one in every country we work in.
The top layer of the hide, with the grain intact. It scars, it patinas, it lasts. Corrected-grain leather is sanded and printed to look uniform, and it cracks.
A hand-stitched seam that breaks in one place stays closed. A machine-stitched seam unravels along its length.
Tensile testing on straps and stitching, abrasion testing on finished pieces, water resistance on selected products.
Every finished product is checked against the specification before it ships.
